The North Jakarta Administration is ready to collaborate with the elderly communication forum (FKLU) at city level in a bid to improve the quality of elderly citizens.

North Jakarta Mayor Sigit Wijatmoko disclosed the government continues to improve social welfare aimed at extending life expectancy, productive life and elderly welfare.

"We do this to optimally protect elderly to get their rights in the form of independence, the right to care and the right to self-esteem," he expressed, while welcoming the FKLU board's audiences in his office, Thursday (21/11).

North Jakarta FKLU Chairman Ratih asserted her party is greatly supporting it.

"It is expected to wake up the public awareness in protecting and assisting the fulfillment of the elderly rights," she stated.
